Sara Williams is a graphic designer and art director based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has academic training from Parsons School of Design in NYC, FIDM in LA and Loyola Marymount University in LA with an AA in Fashion Design and a BA in Graphic Design.

Sara began her career working in fashion and visual merchandising before focusing on graphic arts in 2008; she has been a freelance designer ever since. Her multi-disciplinary experience and education in design, photography, typography, illustration, textiles, fashion & art history translate into a broad range of creative prowess.

Since 2010 Sara has been the designer for Hail Merry®, helping the company grow from startup to national food brand. She has worked on hundreds of projects, from a large rebrand of the full product line and website to 3D trade show displays to social media  and app design to numerous marketing materials for print.

In her spare time, Sara is an avid traveler, museum hopper and music enthusiast who makes a wicked chicken curry and dreams of one day learning how to surf. If she wasn't an artist she'd be a marine biologist or a photojournalist.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

Design Focus*

*A visual breakdown of my last year in design.

Sara has a natural gift at interpreting the right design to meet the concept and direction ... Offering up her design expertise and opinions were vital in shaping a growing company, and her influence has been important in the establishment of a new brand. Affability, originality and design integrity all are found threaded through her work.
